The core Fleet Driver Risk Assessment is approximately 90 minutes on-road. Allowing for the driver briefing, any licence and eyesight checks, observation of the vehicle check and the end-of-drive debrief, it is sensible to allow around two hours of the driver’s day in total.

Each assessed driver receives a written report covering the assessment areas applied, an overall Low, Medium or High risk classification, assessor commentary, recommended actions and a suggested reassessment interval. Where a group of drivers is assessed, management also receives a programme summary. You can see the structure on our sample report page.

Yes, and that is our normal approach. The assessor travels to the driver’s normal base and the assessment is carried out in the vehicle the employee uses for work, on roads that reflect their typical driving. It removes travel time for your team and produces a more representative assessment.

We deliver nationally, across the whole of the United Kingdom. Assessments are carried out at your own site in the vehicle the employee drives for work, so wherever your drivers are based we come to them. Yes. We assess company cars, car-derived vans, panel vans and light commercial vehicles, as well as employees using their own vehicles for work. Where a driver operates more than one vehicle type, the assessment is normally carried out in the vehicle they spend most of their working time in.

Yes — ongoing programmes are the core of what we do. The route in is an initial group of drivers, followed by a recurring arrangement: new starters assessed as they join, targeted development where assessment findings identify a need, post-incident referrals as required, and periodic reassessment. Corporate programmes are structured around your driver numbers, locations and requirements.

Pricing starts with the Fleet Driver Baseline Assessment Day at £595 + VAT, which covers up to three drivers at one operating site. Ongoing fleet programmes are priced per contracted driver per year — Managed at £120 + VAT and Complete at £240 + VAT — with a separate one-off baseline implementation charge of £169 + VAT per existing contracted driver. A Foresight Driver Assessor attends one of your sites and assesses up to three drivers, each for approximately 90 minutes on-road in their own work vehicle. You receive an individual written report and Low, Medium or High risk classification for every driver assessed, recommended management actions and a management summary. Standard travel within our normal service area is included. The fee is £595 + VAT whether one, two or three drivers attend, because it reserves the day’s assessment capacity.

Managed covers the ongoing administration of driver risk: records, classifications, quarterly management summaries, account coordination and scheduling, with included new-starter and post-incident assessment allowances. Complete adds the development side — a targeted driver development allowance, a reassessment allowance, licence-check administration and an annual Driver Risk Evidence Pack. Both run for 12 months.

Standard published pricing covers straightforward fleets of 10 to 50 contracted drivers. Above that we build the programme around your operation — driver numbers, sites, shift patterns and deployment timescales — and set it out in a written proposal. The assessment framework and the reporting are the same whether you run 50 drivers or 500.

Percentage allowances are calculated on contracted headcount and round down to whole drivers, so 20% of a 17-driver fleet is three drivers. Each allowance is a separate pool — using a new-starter assessment does not reduce your post-incident, development or reassessment allowance. Allowances reset each programme year and are an entitlement to an included service rather than a guarantee of immediate attendance.

Individual driver reports are normally within 2 working days of the assessment. Where a Baseline Assessment Day or a batch of assessments has been delivered, the management summary is normally within 3 working days of the final assessment. Findings we consider high risk are escalated promptly to your authorised contact rather than held for the next scheduled report.

Standard travel within our normal service area is included. Requirements outside our normal service area may be quoted separately. We will tell you before anything is booked.

No single service does that. Employers have responsibilities to manage work-related health and safety risks, and professional driver assessment and development can form part of a wider approach to managing occupational road risk — alongside vehicle maintenance, journey planning, policy, licence checking and incident review. What a Foresight programme gives you is the assessment, the risk records, the reporting and the follow-up evidence of how the driver element is being managed.
