Targeted Driver Development is built from assessment findings rather than a generic syllabus. Each session runs for approximately 90 minutes and concentrates on the specific behaviours identified during a Fleet Driver Risk Assessment, a post-incident assessment or a manager referral, so coaching time is spent where the evidence says it matters. It is delivered by a Foresight Driver Development Trainer, and it is coaching — distinct from the assessment that identified the need.
What the session includes
Findings review
The session begins from the documented assessment findings or referral reason.
Objective setting
Two or three specific development priorities are agreed with the driver.
On-road coaching
Practical coaching in the driver’s own work vehicle on relevant roads.
Commentary and feedback
Guided commentary is used to develop observation, planning and hazard awareness.
Development record
A written record of areas covered and recommended next steps.

Scope
