Fleet Driver Baseline Assessment Day
Reserved assessment capacity for up to 3 drivers at one operating site.
- Duration
- Approximately 90 minutes on-road per driver, up to 3 drivers in one day
- Delivery
- On-site at one of your operating locations, in each driver’s own work vehicle
- Output
- Individual written reports, risk classifications and a management summary
The Baseline Assessment Day is the entry point into a Foresight programme. An assessor attends one of your operating sites for a day and assesses up to three drivers on-road, each in the vehicle they normally use for work. You receive an individual written report and risk classification for every driver assessed, plus a management summary that sets out the themes across the group and what we would recommend doing next. It is a proportionate way to see what your occupational driver risk actually looks like before committing to a fleet-wide programme.
What the assessment includes
Reserved on-site capacity
The day reserves assessment capacity for up to 3 drivers at one of your operating sites, scheduled around your operational availability.
Driver briefing
The purpose, structure and scope of the assessment are explained to each driver before any assessment begins.
On-road assessment per driver
Approximately 90 minutes of driving in the driver’s own work vehicle, on a route built from roads that driver normally covers.
Consistent assessment criteria
The same assessment criteria are applied to every driver assessed, so findings across the group are directly comparable.
Assessment debrief
At the end of the drive the assessor explains what was observed and the recommended next steps, so the driver understands the findings before the report is issued.
Individual written reports
A written report for each driver assessed, with findings, risk classification, assessor commentary and recommended actions.
Management summary
A summary for management covering the themes identified across the drivers assessed and what we would recommend prioritising.
Standard travel included
Standard travel within our normal service area is included. Requirements outside our normal service area may be quoted separately.
What your organisation receives
- A documented practical view of how a sample of your drivers drive for work
- A Low / Medium / High occupational driver-risk classification per driver
- Recommended management actions, prioritised by the risk identified
- A management summary that supports an internal decision on next steps
Potential assessment areas
Not every assessment includes every road environment. The route is built around the driver’s normal work and the roads available from their base.
