Assess

Driver Reassessment

Repeat assessment showing whether a driver’s risk classification has changed.

Duration
Approximately 90 minutes
Delivery
On-road, in the driver’s own work vehicle
Output
Written reassessment report with updated risk classification

A reassessment repeats the assessment using the same criteria and the same reporting format, so the result can be compared directly with the driver’s previous report. It is how an organisation demonstrates what happened after a Medium or High classification was identified and acted upon, rather than leaving the original finding as the last word on the file.

What the assessment includes

Review of the previous report

The reassessment starts from the documented findings and recommended actions of the previous assessment.

On-road assessment

Approximately 90 minutes against the same assessment criteria.

Assessment debrief

The assessor explains what was observed and how it compares with the previous assessment.

Updated classification and report

A written report with the updated risk classification and any further recommended actions.

What your organisation receives

  • An updated Low / Medium / High risk classification
  • A documented comparison against the previous assessment
  • Evidence of whether earlier recommended actions had an effect
  • An up-to-date record for the driver file

Scope

Driver assessment and development can form part of a wider approach to managing occupational road risk, alongside vehicle maintenance, journey planning, policy, licence checking and incident review.
